Outriggers
Outrigger design and configuration is a decisive point
in the practicality and also the economic efficiency of a truck mounted
concrete pump. First of all though, the outriggers are the prime factor
in the safe operation of a truck pump.
Where a typical truck crane makes use of counterweights
to partially balance itself, a truck concrete pump "has to stand
on its own feet" all day and every day. Intelligent engineering and
the maximum use of high-strength, low-weight materials are therefore the
order of the day.
Intelligent outrigger conceptions are perfectly reflected
by the SCHWING developed X and Super-X (SX) outrigger systems. Both of
these configurations get the working machine and the boom right into the
front line so as to develop maximum on-site effectiveness. Where conventional
swing-out and swing-telescope outriggers meet their limits on restricted
sites, the SCHWING systems power-out directly in-line or even in-arc (with
the SX). Trees, walls, stacks of building materials are not a problem
anymore.
SCHWING pumps arrive on site, set up and pump. That's it!
